Roo Mansala

With fantastic facilities and a spectacular setting, this intimate mid-range hotel is a great-value stay in the heart of the Cultural Triangle. There are just six rooms housed in three chalets, with the superior rooms on the ground floor and the suites above.

All rooms are bright and airy with high-standard fittings and furnishings and décor inspired by traditional Sinhalese art. The rooms are designed to maximise views, especially the suites which have the addition of a balcony as well as beautiful vaulted ceilings. One of the suites is designed for honeymooners with a glass-walled ensuite bathroom with large tub and open rainshower.

The complex is in a peaceful and private setting just 20 minutes from Sigiriya town where guests can rest to the sounds of birdcall while admiring views of the iconic Sigiriya Rock. Guided nature trails around the garden and countryside beyond are available, or you can relax by the good-sized pool.

The open-sided restaurant serves fusion cuisine with international influences in the evening, with set menu dinners and five-course dining options available. For breakfast, guests can choose between western and local dishes, and light lunches are on offer throughout the day.
