Prabath Hewagama
Vice President Sales and Marketing
Prabath joined the TFG family in late 2021, bringing with him a wealth of industry experience from positions at leading tourism companies both in Sri Lanka and the U.K. His last tenure was Abercrombie and Kent Sri Lanka as executive director sales and marketing. As he says, travel is a passion not a job, and it certainly has become ingrained in his lifestyle. Prabath is drawn to mountain peaks and anywhere with a waterfall, but the north and east coast are next on his Sri Lanka travel plans.
Sathis Chalana
Vice President Finance and Planning
Chalana was born, grew up and studied in Haputale, part of Sri Lanka’s luscious tea country. His qualifications in accounting and background in finance management led him to take up the position of CFO at TFG in January 2020. Chalana is an avid cricket fan: when he is not watching a match, he enjoys sight-seeing and spending time in nature. The east coast of Sri Lanka is next on his bucket list!
Himesha Wickramasinghe
Manager - Sales
Himesha arrived at The Fabulous Getaway in 2022 following a mammoth 13-year career at the Sri Lanka branch of travel agency Abercrombie & Kent. She loves working within the tourism industry as it enables her to meet new people and exercise her French skills. Next on Himesha’s in-country bucket list is hiking the Pekoe Trail, a new tea country trek that runs from corner to corner in the glorious central hills.
Kosala Gamage
Head of Operations
Kosala has been with TFG since 2017. With an extensive career background in both sales and operations, Kosala is well-placed to organise the logistics for client tours and ensure that they are well-taken care of for the duration of their trip. He loves that every day in the job is different with exciting new tasks to solve. When not in the office, Kosala enjoys being in nature, either cycling, hiking, or birdwatching.
Nazreen Nazar
Assistant Manager - Sales
Travel has been a way of life for Nazreen for decades. Following years of schooling in Oman, she returned to Sri Lanka and completed her higher studies before entering the world of tourism. Nazreen’s favourite thing about Sri Lanka is the cuisine and she loves to recommend dishes to clients. In her spare time, Nazreen is on a mission to find the best beach in Sri Lanka – watch this space!
Prabha Idangodage
Manager - Sales
Prabha came to us in the latter part of 2021, backed by a CV boasting more than ten years of experience working at other leading travel agencies in Colombo. Her inquisitive nature has fuelled her career: Prabha loves the opportunities that travel brings to meet new people and to explore all corners of the country. Her favourite chill-out destination in Sri Lanka is the spectacular central tea hills.
Saumya Miyanadeniya
Financial Accountant
Saumya has over a decade of experience working in Finance, at other local companies and also businesses operating in vastly different fields such as manufacture and services. She came to us midway through 2022 and instantly became a firm part of the TFG family. Saumya loves relaxing at the beach and in the cool climes of the hill country and next hopes to visit the quiet Kandyan countryside.
Romelo Hettiyadurage
Operations Executive
Romelo found his first job at The Fabulous Getaway in early 2017, and we’re delighted that he’s still with us all these years later! He is passionate about working in tourism and relishes taking on the challenges of ground handling for particularly complex holidays. Romelo’s favourite thing about Sri Lanka is the tropical weather – a view shared by many clients – and he has plans to learn to surf this summer.
