One of the latest boutique hotels to open in the beautiful jungle-shrouded hills of Koslanda, Villa Lé Maas Tota is an utterly peaceful wilderness escape. The villa sits on a 30-acre estate surrounded by an idyllic patchwork of tea plantations, paddy fields, dense jungle and rushing waterfalls.
Villa Lé Maas Tota was originally a planter’s bungalow, and while the exterior is still authentic the interiors have been modernised with polished floors, black furnishings, and splashes of vibrant colour. There are four room categories to choose from, each with large four-poster bed, tree-top balcony or terrace, and ensuite bathroom with bathtub and shower. The two-bedroom family suite has a separate area with twin beds.
Walking is rewarding here, with treks to various waterfalls and a hike to the historic Lipton tea estate. Guests can also bathe in a private waterfall if they so choose, or take a cooking class with the chef
